We have been avid model builders for over 40 years.
We begin in the days when the transmitters had vacuum tubes and this
huge battery. We only had one control. Rudder! This model was more
like Free Flight with direction control. Then we moved to a system
called "Galloping Ghost". The control surfaces would flutter
equally up and down. The transmitter control caused the control
surface to flutter more in one direction then another. At the same time
we had Radio Systems called "Reeds". This was the first attempt at
proportional servo control and while large, was the forerunner of the
now popular Digital Control.
Radio Control for Model Airplanes has changed greatly since those early
days. We sell what we like to fly. We flew some of the first Nitro
Ducted Jets around! From our experience with Model Airplanes, from
scratch built to RTF, we know a great value for our money. All the
Electrics we offer will exceed your expectations of quality and
performance.
I believe the products we are offering have the best quality for the
price; in fact the quality far surpasses the price. Yes, you can
buy more expensive radios then the ones we offer in our RTF Models.
However, I have been flying these units and I am constantly surprised at
the high level of performance you can get from them.
What's that you say? Already have a radio set? Then our ARF
models or the Kit versions are just the ticket for you. The EDF
Models (Electric Ducted Fan) we have are not for beginners.
Although the F-15 has great slow speed characteristics. While hand
launching is certainly possible, we recommend taking off of a flat
ground surface. These EDFs are FAST. I "tool" around at 1/2
to 3/4 throttle more then I would like to admit!
If you are a novice pilot you might want to try one of our RTF Prop
Driven Planes. We will constantly look for the best values to add
to our list.
We will expand our selection over the next few months and we hope you
will check back frequently. Finally make sure to check
the home page at the bottom for important notices, tips, tricks and
hints for our products.
All items listed are stocked in the USA for immediate delivery unless
otherwise noted.
We look forward to your feed back, comments and questions about
Electric Park Flyers both prop driven and ducted fan.
Below are interesting photos from the past I thought I would share with
you.

This Jet Hangar Hobbies F9F8 Cougar was 7 Channel Nitro
Ducted Fan. Retracts, Dive Brakes and Flaps all worked in flight
Powered by a K&B 7.5. and Turbax Ducted Fan. Designed by Larry
Wolfe, the kit was ALL Scratch built except for the Fiberglass Fuselage.
I built and wrote the product review for this semi - kit for the now
defunct RC Modeler Magazine that was published in May 1982.
I built two of these, one of them I still have and may fly again
someday!
I joined Larry Wolfe's flight crew, as he flew demonstrations at the
once famous Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas sponsored by the avid
R/C enthusiast William Bennett, owner of the Circus Circus Casinos
